Urban Green Infrastructure Training
Funded by GIZ the training aimed at increasing the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) capacities to develop greeninfrastructure projects and integrate green infrastructureas a tool for urban comprehensive design and planning.
The three day capacity building training included particpants from GAM and taught them the general understaning of green infrastucture (GI) and design in two types of sessions; knowledge and working. The participants of the training got aquainted with GI strategies; especially green-grey integration, connectivity, multi-functionality and social inclusion. Participants learned to select and design various GI types, based on site constraints and how to structure GI design. Participants learned to identify GI design opportunities and test to integrate GI design into their daily work. Participants also learned how to educate those in their community about GI design and planning.
